As I was writing Trinity's Hope, the presence of God visited me and inspired the words I wrote by sharing His heart concerning the way He envisions love and romance unfolding in the lives of His children. I’ve always known in my heart that God had a vision and a plan for way to use this novel to impact the lives of young people. I believe His plan icludes a mentoring ministry called,

"Covering Our Daughters."

The concept behind COD is to “Do for one, what you wish you could do for many.”

Many adults have a desire to see positive change and growth take place in the lives of young believers; but many do not have the time, resources or energy to make an impact on a large scale. However, we can all reach one. We can each take the sacrificial step to cover one child. To commit to going deep and long with that one life who will benefit from the positive influence of someone who cares about them, personally and specifically.

The messages of purity, abstinence, self-love, faith and forgiveness contained within the pages of Trinity’s Hope are fundamental biblical truths that will help lay a foundation in the lives of young believers. Yet, without the encouragement to read the novel and have someone emphasize these truths, a young person may miss out of the blessings this novel has to offer.

By establishing a COD Mentoring Ministry, parents, churches, teachers and community organizations can take on the responsibility to ensure that each of our daughters has an opportunity to receive all that God has placed in this novel by using Trinity’s Hope as a ministry tool.

Your Role as a COD Mentor:

  • Each mentor will focus on one girl and establish a sister-friendship with her

  • Purchase 2 copies of Trinity’s Hope – for yourself and for your sister-friend

  • Commit to reading the book together which will keep you both accountable

  • Make time to discuss and highlight the things you find meaningful in the story

  • Commit to continuing the relationship indefinitely by continuing to pray for your   sister-friend, share books, movies and other meaningful experiences

  • Plan & Attend a COD Celebration ~  During these events you can discuss the book as a group, provide additional ministry for your sister-friends and even encourage them to take a purity pledge. You can also arrange for the author to attend, giving the young ladies the opportunity to ask questions, get the author's autograph and receive personal words of  impartation.

Someone who's available when she needs a supportive, safe place to share her hopes, dreams, fears, and struggles as well as her victories.

  • You can be used by God as a blessing to your sister-friend by spending time with her one-on-one. This will make her feel loved and important. By blessing her with token gifts and  special experiences the love of God will be reinforced in her heart and mind, helping her realize that she is indeed accepted in the beloved and a necessary member of the Body of Christ. (Ephesians 1:6 & 1 Corinthians 12-27)  

  • You will have the joy of knowing that you have made a difference in a young person’s life for the better which is truly pleasing to God.
